Chris Brown Apologies For Rihanna Beating
Chris Brown has issued a public apology video to Rihanna and the public for the February beating. In the video Chris said that, “I have told Rihanna countless times and I am telling you today that I am truly, truly sorry and that wasn’t I able to handle the situation both differently and better.” and that “What I did was unacceptable, 100 percent. I can only ask and pray that you forgive me, please. I hope that others learn from my mistake.”

Chris said that he has spoken with his mother and minister to further understand why the February incident happened. Chris said in the past that he witnessed his mother getting beaten by his dad.
Chris did release a statement after the February beating saying he was “sorry and saddened about what transpired that night”, but he never mentioned Rihanna or the details of that night. Chris said that he was advised by his attorney not to speak publicly about the incident.
Chris was charged with two felonies and was facing jail time, but he reached a plea deal with the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office and was sentenced on June 22nd to 180 days of community labor and ordered to enroll in a domestic violence counseling program.
Beastie Boys’ MCA Announces Cancer Diagnosis
Adam “MCA” Yauch announced that he has a cancerous tumor in his left salivary gland and will undergo surgery in the coming weeks. The tumor is localized and is treatable. Adam’s vocal chords should not be affected and he is expected to make a full recovery.
The band canceled their summer tour plans and delayed the release of their forthcoming album “Hot Sauce Committee Part 1” in order to give MCA time to recover.
